Bestiary artwork for Endless Realms, a D&D-like "pen and paper" fantasy RPG I'm working for.
Some more dream realm creatures as requested by my art director, who gave me free reign to come up with some additional concepts - if this guy looks similar to the Sandman I just posted, it's because it's supposed to! The concept for these guys is that they were once mortal, but in becoming cultists of the Sandman in a bid for access to the chaotic power of the dream realm, they lost who they were and became... something else. They serve as agents of the Sandman in maintaining and shaping the realm and enforcing his will, whatever that may be at the time - like their master, I imagined the somniophiles have a direct connection to the fabric of the dream realm, but significantly less power to influence it. They've also gained the "energy cloak/wings" look of their master, as well as the single starry eye amid a face of shadow.
For this particular individual, I imagined he was once Ventelli, or perhaps an original Dream Ventelli (since the Ventelli came from the dream realm originally), hence a somewhat similar build. I also chose a Ventelli since they have a good creepy build to work with :b

I love how, probably unintentionaly, you managed to give this subtle Lovecraftian vibe to it
In some Lovecraftian legends, many cults who worship the various abominations turn into said abominations themselves and they kinda look similar to this creature to boot
