First I just have to say that's really impressive, the thought you've put into this, and I would think anyone who comissions you would have to be totally satisfied, you've left no stone unturned!

I did want to know what you consider small image though, pixelwise. . .maybe you could include that at the bottom there, i.e. small = 100x200? or more? just a thought. anyway, i wish you much success with it. :salute:

Good idea to lay it all on the line :) I'm starting to wish I could ask for one ^^ And get my own paypal account for the jewellery I make. Damn paypal age restriction :shakesfist:

A digital piece with 2 highly-detailed/realistic characters (complete with background) would be somewhere between $75 and 120, depending on how high the resolution was, the quality of reference images, etc. I can't give an exact estimate until I hear about the all the details, sorry! I wish it were more formulaic, too :P

As for an oil painting... It's traditional, and inherently more work. That'd be maybe $15-20 extra.

Oil is expensive as a medium, and buying a medium-large decent canvas can be expensive, too. Depending on the size, I'd probably charge an extra $10-20 for materials. If you wanted the original (I'm assuming you would if you asked for an oil painting), the shipping would be another... I dunno... $5-20?

I'd actually recommend against the oil painting unless you're really willing to commit to the image and shell out the money for it. You'd be paying extra for the extra time and care I would put into it, as well as the material and stuff... you could possibly get a "better" digital picture, but it wouldn't be the same as having an original you could touch, right? So it's up to you.

Feel free to email or note me with extra details if you want a better price estimate.

Hehe, well, I've been taking commissions for awhile, but I thought I ought to do up a page for people who are interested. Makes things easier.

Yeah, I'm gonna add more details to it when I get home - I've been at school, and if I stayed and added more details, I would've been late for class X3

Yar =\ And I can't just ask my mum to help me out either as she doesn't trust the internet; Mind you she has every right to knowing todays society and even I don't trust a lot of things about it but sometimes it's a tad anoying in things like this... Not really all that big though ^_^ just 2 years until I"m of age grrr. hehe.

:iconjocarra:
Oh yeah... A lot of the older generations either don't trust the internet at all, or completely depend on it.

I feel for you Jo. I've gone through something similar, except it was my mother's mother, my grandma who died when I was seven. I didn't understand, I was just a little girl. Now I'm older and I've seen death so many times. Don't worry, you'll be fine.
