A super cool, gnarled old log. Completely natural, apparently, but I forget the explanation of how it came to look this way. Would make a pretty awesome pillar for a fancy hall, or a neat design for a staff or something, I think. Viewed at the Molson museum near Oroville, WA.

This Is very cool, looks so marbleized like stone, my guess it was done by some sort of insects, or worms, but defiantly narly. :)
