The promised walkthrough for Forest Sentry

This walkthrough is assuming a certain level of skill in painting and Photoshop - if you're finding it difficult, perhaps try one of my other tutorials described here!

My first and most basic fur tutorial: [link]

My second and "most balanced" fur tutorial: [link]

If I'm doing all the fur detail from scratch, no special brushes or anything, a lot longer - this particular image took about 15 hours?

Wow! What'd you use for this? I doubt its free. :/ All my art is traditional.

I used Photoshop, but any painting program should work with the basic techniques, as well as traditional - most traditional animal artists start by laying down an underpainting, then doing the fur detail on top! I believe typically a darker underpainting is used, then lighter, individual fur strokes laid down on top.

For graphite, I have a different tutorial for that, also in my gallery!

I use Photoshop CS6 for now, used to use CS9 but I like CS6 better! This tutorial helped me a lot! Thanks! By the way, your art is wonderful!

Very in detail and interestingly, and the main thing is live! Impresses! Thanks a lot! Only it is not clear if it will work out? 0_о Thank you!)
