Moment - Work in Progress 17 by jocarra Moment - Work in Progress 17 by jocarra
I'm very, very frustrated. On my monitor, the darks show up perfectly, and you can see all the detail. On everyone else's monitor, the darks all show up as straight black, with only the lightest colours showing up, making the picture look way higher contrast than I intended. I have no idea what to do about it...

Ugh.

Anyways, other than the fact that it only looks like the way I want it on my monitor, I think it's turning out well so far... at least on my monitor...

Commission for ~Kintari of his character.

It looks awesome so far, and I can see lots of detail although I don't know if it's all there is to see or how you intended it.

Ahh, yeah. It seems to be really highly dependent on how bright one's monitor is =/

*nods* That's about right. Not too greeny, but a little greeny with some goldish highlights.

I think your monitor is showing it up a little more greenly than I intended, but hmm...

Okay, good. That's the way it's supposed to be, then.

WOOT! its kinda weird how peoples monitors are different colours etc and they end up painting and realising its the wrong colour when they veiw it on someone elses.. i wish it was easier just like knowing the paper is white and you know what colour pencils you are using :)

*chuckles* I know... That's why I really want to get my monitor professionally calibrated, or to be told exactly how to calibrate it, perfectly. Those strips of black-grey-white things aren't good enough.
