Out of the night...

Probably the most correct depiction of Jayli thus far. I thought it was about time I posted this... I originally started with a simple sketch for practice, with the pose referenced from *heise, and then it just went from there... I suppose you might say I was inspired by the music ~AnanziP1 and I wrote.

~10 hours. Painted in Adobe PhotoShop, text made in Adobe Illustrator. 20.

Great job!!! Beautifully detailed. Nice shades of blue. The sky looks so realistic!

... you write music, too? XD You are one multitalented woman, you know that?

Lovely work, of course. Your coloring is so smooth, I envy you. Clothing wrinkles make me happy, though. I like clothing wrinkles. And, of course, you cg people and your amazing ability with stars XD That would be the only thing to make me want to do cg are: being able to make stars without killing myself and still hating it afterwards.

Though I will say her posture makes me wince: I could never stand that straight and stick my chest out like that without getting a crick XD Maybe I just have bad posture.

Yeah, you can listen to the song here if you have Flash: [link] . Now, I don't normally write music - this took me ages to do!

Stars? Why, I have a star tutorial now that shows exactly how I did this! [link] Knock yourself out X3

And... of course... Thank you very much :) I appreciate it :) And, hehe, I know you like clothing wrinkles! You're awesome at them - I always look at them, and think, "Wow, how on earth does she do all those??" X3

Thank you very much :) I wanted details, but not too many... and I like blue, so I couldn't resist X3.

And, oh... If you're interested in knowing how I did the sky, I have a tutorial describing just that: [link]

What I'm loving most about this is the gentle transition between solidity and transparency. The overall composition is lovely (and your stars are great ^^) and the colours work really well together.

Hehehe, you're very welcome! I have a few other tutorials as well... There are links to them in my journal (I've been asking people what tutorials they would like).

I will try to!

Amzing coloring, especially the way you did the hair and the night sky. The latter is extremely realistic and beautiful.
