Commission - Friends' Day Off by jocarra Commission - Friends' Day Off by jocarra
Full view here!

Finally finished the commission for *FuranIrcas, easily my biggest project yet!  Featured are his character, Furan, along with thirteen of his friends :)  From left to right: Pat the aardwolf, Johann the wolf, Momoli the arctic hare, Furan the leopard, Asmodina the fennec, Zero the hare, Nienna the fox-dragon, Chevalo the Irish cob, Brachmiros the dragon, Tigg the smilodon/snow leopard, Breehy the horse, Keera the tortoiseshell cat, Shirecku the lion, and finally Strife the fox-dragon.

Initially, we figured we would do a large multi-character composition, but it required putting some characters in the background, while others would be closer up or partially obscured - everyone wanted their characters to have equal treatment, so instead we opted for a very long, sequential image where everyone could be in the foreground more or less equally :)

Adobe Photoshop CS5.

Thank you so much for this picture. It's the first painted full body pic of me and it's perfect. I must admit i didn't expect such an exact realisation of my avatar. Every little spot on my fur seems to be where it belongs to. I can't wait to see this picture on my living room wall.

Aww, awesome :)  I'm so glad you were really happy with it!  Yeah, I'm pretty OCD >_>  Since you gave me such perfect references, I couldn't help but try to get it as close as possible :b  Thanks again!

Making a sandwich is an important act of creation, as we do it in memory of Arthur Dent, the only begotten sandwich-maker of almighty Bob.

Haha, fair enough :3  Everyone has their favourite species, or breed, or whathaveyou.  I used to not be a fan of corn snakes, but I saw them a lot at the pet store I went to for mice, and got to see a lot of them grow up and stuff, so I've gotten more fond of them since :3  Reptiles are sorta like that - if you aren't naturally inclined towards them, they can see sorta boring or whatever, but when you get to know them, they can have so much personality :3

Hehe, yes.  I'm a fan of MGS, but sort of on the fence about MGS5 (not voiced by David Hayter! ;_;) - I mean, part of the reason why they had Snake say his name is David in MGS1 is supposedly because of Hayter... but in a way, I don't mind TOOOO much, because it's technically about Big Boss, as he's becoming Big Boss, not when he was still Naked Snake, so it SORT of makes sense to have a different voice actor, but it depends on how you argue it :b

... MGS-nerdery :b  Haha, I'll stop there.

oh same here with corns. maybe cause they are far beyound being calm. very very active, even the kind ones. i own a really nasty one. i live the philosophy "because it bites you doesnt mean you have to throw it away", so i have him now since i believe 5 years or so and he.. or she (i dont know) can live with me in peacy. unless its feeding time, then i have to get him out, haha.. or her.. what ever ^^"
never had a snake with THIS attitude!

oh man. i could never play metal gear solid one. the only games i could play were metal gear solid 2 sons of liberty, metal gear solid 3: snake eater, metal gear solid 4: guns of the patriots (my absolute favorite!).
its like i grew up to this voice and i think its sexy *_* i wouldnt want to miss that.. harhar xD
i also playd metal gear rising but this turned out to be a short-time hack n slay... i wasnt expecting too much but not that less D:

Awww, yeah, I don't think I'd be able to give one up just because he didn't end up with a temperament I wanted.  Especially reptiles, where it's pretty easy to just leave them be aside from cleaning and feeding.

Hahaha, yessssss, David Hayter's Snake voice is pretty much the sexiest XD  I don't know why he doesn't talk like that just all the time :b  Like... there's a Youtube video where he meets the maker of Metal Gear Awesome, a flash parody cartoon by Egoraptor: if you don't know what that is, just skip ahead to 2:00.  Sexiest okay ever o_o :b

Well, Revengeance is really better thought of as a Devil May Cry/God of War/Bayonetta game, not a MGS one :b  We haven't played it yet as we don't have our consoles overseas, but we intend to give it a shot when we get back.

As for MGS1, yeah, it can be a bit hard to get used to with the older controls, but it's sort of a classic, you really should give it another shot some time!

Thanks!

Heh, yeah.  Plus now I have a ton of grass I could use if I ever need "plain grass" for other pictures XD  It's not too much about patience, really - surprisingly, it wasn't too hard to break it into smaller bits, mentally speaking.  Like, "Do the background" now "Do the aardwolf" now "Do the wolf" etc.   Just a bunch of projects all bundled into one!
